Things to Do in Mazatlan
In addition to enjoying the views, weather, sand, and surf, there’s plenty more to do in Mazatlan! From exploring a day in the life of local residents, to whole-day tours, Mazatlan has plenty to offer the adventurous traveller! These are some of our favorite explorations.
Centro Historico
Old Mazatlan is the downtown historic district. It is home to El Mercado (The Market), Plazuela Machado (Machado Square), Angela Peralta Theatre, and many other historic attractions. You will also find some of the best food in all of Mazatlan in this area.
El Faro
Mazatlan is home to the highest natural lighthouse in the world! It’s a medium-effort hike and the views are well worth the effort. Start early and try to go on a day when there are no cruise ships in town.
